Stopped at the library this morning to drop off some books. The flowers caught my eye. It was so hot and humid that the pictures ended up with a misty dreamy look. Could not decide which one I liked the best. It was 97 degrees this afternoon and it’s supposed to be hot all week.

Lazy day today. Michael’s hip is bothering him so decided to stay home so he could rest it. I went for a walk to the marina after super – needed some exercise and my picture of the day. I hoped it would be a bit cooler but it was still hot and humid and it’s supposed to get even warmer this week. I am so ready for fall.

Woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. While driving to work the weather forecasters predict occasional rain showers today. Wait a minute – it’s been raining for over an hour – I don’t think this is a shower. It rained all day and it’s still raining. Took this photo from our office window late this afternoon. You can see how gray and overcast it is. You can barely make out the cruise ship in the background.

This summer there is a farmer’s market every Thursday around lunch time at the plaza outside our building. This is the first time I managed to check it out. It’s small but a great start. This fruit stand caught my eye

Filler today. Busy day at work and then after supper had to mow the lawn. Spotted this in Dorset, Vermont. Don’t know if anyone still uses it – the gauge and tub look new so not sure

Heading home today. We have driven by the HMS Williams Country store in Dorset many times but never stopped until this trip. It’s like an old time Walmart – it’s been family owned and operated since 1840. Spotted this in the back parking lot of the store
