A beautiful day so we headed out to see if we could find the Hawkins Trail. Thanks to our GPS and a Facebook comment we found it The trail is about 2 1/2 miles long and it’s a loop trail. There were lots of hikers and mountain bikers on the trail. The trail is still under construction and it looks like there are lots of places to explore. Will definitely go back and hike again.

We decided to head to East Sookie Park on Vancouver Island, Even though we had a GPS, it was hard to find the park. We ended up stopping at a marina and buying a map. Luckily they had a coffee shop there.
The Park is beautiful and you can walk along the water for miles

The club moss on the trees in Hoh National Forest. The Olympic Peninsula is having a drought as is most of the Pacific Northwest so the trees aren’t as green and lush as they should be

Since we didn’t have to meet our tour group until 7 o’clock tonight, we decided to drive to Mt. Rainer. It was about a two hour drive from Seattle. The park was beautiful – wish we could have spent a lot more time there
