The rain cooled things off and temperatures were in high 70’s today. Headed to Downs Park. These flowers may be little but they are pretty
View of the wetlands and Patuxent River
Got up early this morning and headed to Jug Bay before it got too hot. We spotted six ospreys and managed to get this shot
Since it’s the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, traffic is usually a mess so we decided to head to Patuxent Wildlife Refuge so we would not have to deal with traffic. We were disappointed that Lake Allen was closed but it was a beautiful day to be outside – although a little warmer than I like
Busy running errands today so had to settle for a walk around the neighborhood
It finally stopped raining and we headed to Kinder Park. A trip to the pond is always a highlight
A beautiful day – temperatures were in the high 70’s and lots of sunshine so we got in a walk around the neighborhood and were lucky enough to spot this osprey coming in for a landing.
Back home safe and sound but it’s hard to find something to take a photo of after experiencing Yellowstone
We left home on Saturday, May 9th and flew to Bozeman, Montana. Spent Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Monday checking out some of the sites around Bozeman including Ted Turner’s Flying D Ranch. Monday night we met up with Aaron Baggenstos and our tour group. We left Bozeman early Tuesday morning for our drive to Gardiner – the northern entrance of Yellowstone. We had to drive through a snow storm part of the way but that made for some great photos.
We saw lots of wildlife including bison, coyotes, wolves, bears including a grizzly, black bears and grown bears, elk, big horn sheep, pronghorns, owls, pika, marmots, and lots of different kinds of birds.
If you haven’t been to Yellowstone, you should put it at the top of your list of places to visit. and if you want to go on a photo tour – Aaron’s photo tours is the best. Aaron is a great instructor whether you are a beginner or advanced photographer This was our second tour and we keep learning new techniques on every trip. This time we learned about nighttime photography, and how to do panorama shots
This was our second trip and we still have not seen all of the park and the scenery changes on a daily basis.
Many thanks to Aaron and Mike for a great trip
My Big Horn Sheep – get out of our way – it’s supper time.
We made it across
