Stopped at the Hudson River Maritime Museum. We both enjoyed it. Was disappointed to discover that we could not see the Kingston lighthouse from shore. You have to go on a boat tour but we didn’t have the time. So copied picture from the website

Then we headed to the Saugerties Lighthouse. It’s now a bed and breakfast so you can’t go inside. It’s about a half mile walk to the lighthouse

Stopped at Olana. Home of Hudson Valley artist Frederick Church. They have a beautiful new visitor center

Drove through Hudson and discovered a park with a great view of the Hudson Athens Lighthouse. It’s currently undergoing renovations

Then we drove to Catskill and to the Point. It’s really changed over the years. Managed to get a photo of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge

Had dinner at Christina’s restaurant and it was great. Michael had spaghetti and meatballs and I had chicken parmigan sandwich. delicious. They also had fried bread dough balls in bread basket.

Woke up to rain and 57 degrees. It stopped raining and sun came out in the afternoon and temperature hit 70

We headed to Honey Hollow Falls but when we got there trail was wet and overgrown so then we headed to Mt Philo state park. Along the way I saw a sign for the round church in Richmond. I put it into your GPS but we could not find it so headed to the park. We parked the car and walked to an overlook. I was disappointed but then noticed a trail so decided to walk a bit and saw signs for the summit

The park is the first state park in Vermont. View of Lake Champlain

Beautiful day. Blue skies but it’s 86 degrees

We headed out to Sterling Gorge. Along the way we spotted an old factory alongside the road an stopped to take some pictures

Pictures above are along Sterling Gorge trail. When I looked at the map I thought we were going to go by a covered bridge on way to the gorge but we didn’t see any signs. After we left the gorge and headed back to Stowe the GPS lost its signal so we were not sure where to turn. We missed the turn but found the covered bridge.

We decided to stop in Stowe. It was really busy as there was a tour bus. We stopped in one of the galleries and saw this guitar. It can be yours for $3,000
